Leica Store robbed of nearly $180,000 in merchandise
San Francisco, Calif., receive another black mark on its reputation in the photography community on Saturday, Nov. 27, when armed thieves robbed the San Francisco Leica Store of nearly $180,000 in merchandise.
According to ABC 7, a surveillance video showed four suspects, who arrived in a gray sedan, making their way into the Union Square store around 1:20 pm. At least one suspect was armed.
As was featured last week, San Francisco photographers have had to be on guard as photographers with big gear bags are being cautioned to avoid popular spots – like the Palace of Fine Arts – or bring security.
